Building with AI
A free program for college students.
About a year ago I started building seriously with AI. The speed, the capability, the range of what one person could make - it changed how I work entirely.
The more I built, the more I kept thinking about the students I know who are about to enter a workforce that already runs on this - and have had almost no exposure to it. That gap bothered me. So I decided to do something about it.
This program isn't about technology. It's about learning to direct AI clearly - with taste, judgment, and a point of view. Those are skills students have been building all along, whatever they study. This just gives them somewhere to go.
Five weeks. A small group. Hands-on. You'll leave with something real you built, and the habit of building more.
Nine sessions over five weeks, twice a week.
Nine sessions over five weeks, twice a week. Each session is 90 minutes on Zoom.
You'll pick a project from your own life - something small that bugs you, something you wish existed - and build it over the course of the program. By the end, it'll be live on the internet.
The last session is Demo Day. You'll present what you built to a small invited audience.
For people where ideas, taste, and judgment matter.
Students in business, marketing, communications, or any field where ideas, taste, and judgment matter. No technical background needed or expected.
If you've ever had an idea you couldn't act on because you didn't know how to build it - this is for you.
The program is free.
Two things you'll need. First, a Mac - for now the program is taught and set up on macOS, so you'll need one to take part. Windows support is on my list for a future cohort, I'm just not there yet, and I'd hate for you to spend the program wrestling with setup instead of building.
Second, a Claude Pro subscription at $20/month - your account, set up in your name, yours to keep long after the program ends. Think of it less like a course fee and more like a textbook you'll actually use.
Frequently asked questions
How many students are in each cohort?
Small. Intentionally. Four to six students per cohort so there's real time with each person.
Do I need any prior experience with AI?
No. Curiosity is the only prerequisite.
What will I actually build?
Something from your own life. A tool, a dashboard, a content generator, a landing page - something that solves a real problem you have. You'll pick it in Session 2 and build it from there.
Will I need to learn to code?
No. The program is about directing AI, not writing code.
Do I need a Mac?
For now, yes. Everything's set up on macOS at the moment, and Windows support is something I want to add for a later cohort. I'd rather say so upfront than have you lose time getting set up.
How do I apply?
There's no formal application. Fill in the form below and I'll be in touch.
